Jace Lawson is a dedicated cricketer for Belmont District Cricket Club. Jace played for Belmont for 3 decades and is a life member of the club. Jace captained the Belmont District Cricket Club Under-23 team during the 1999–2000 season, leading them to victory in the competition, and foreshadowed a long career in the first-grade competition.
Jace won his first and only Newcastle District Cricket Association first-grade title with a 95-run win over Toronto. Jace contributed 58 and 3-63.
Jace Lawson is a well-known cricketer for Belmont District Cricket Club in Newcastle, Australia. A left-arm seamer, Lawson was a key figure in the club's first-grade team for over two decades. In December 2016, he became the 12th player in Newcastle District Cricket Association history to reach 500 first-grade wickets, a notable achievement that highlights his consistent performance and dedication to the sport. Jace finished just shy of the 600-wicket mark.
Throughout his career, Lawson has been celebrated for his leadership and experience. In February 2019, he played a pivotal role in a 21-run victory over second-placed University, taking three crucial wickets and earning praise from his captain, Marcus Hainsworth, who referred to him as "the heart" of the team. Even after a brief retirement, Lawson returned to the field to guide a younger squad, participating in his third Newcastle District Cricket Association final in 2021 in a narrow loss.
