Sisters Act – The Mighty Millers

Parramatta District Cricket Club | November 20, 2025

Twin sisters Kelsey and Rebecca Miller Joined Parramatta in the 2015/16 season and their dynamic batting performances were instrumental in the club’s 2nd grade team reaching the Grand Final for the first time in the coveted 50 overs competition.

Foreshadowing ‘what was in store’ for opposition bowling attacks in coming seasons the sisters showed their class and ominous run-making prowess in that first-up season in the two-blues of Parramatta, in all formats (T20 and 50 overs matches) Rebecca struck an impressive 578 runs @ 48.17 (H.S. – 102*) and Kelsey chimed in with an imposing 507 runs @ 39.1 (H.S. – 76*).

The 2016/17 season saw the Parramatta 2nd grade team the bridesmaids again when wet weather impacted on the Grand Final. However, the prolific Millers were outstanding with the bat and established themselves as the ‘most feared’ combination in the 50 Over competition, power-laden Kelsey blasted a competition 433 runs @ 43.30 [the competition’s highest tally]. Highlighted by a remarkable 201*against a hapless Bankstown attack and in the process, she shared a massive unbroken 285 run 1st wicket partnership record with sister Rebecca (Kelsey 201* & Rebecca 63*). Rebecca matched her sibling’s run tallying with 430 runs @ 47.78 (best – 144 v. Sydney University).

Rebecca and team skipper Mel Halton (103) also shared a giant 268 run partnership with Rebecca (144) against Sydney University.

In all formats Rebecca compiled a weighty 721 runs @ 34.33 and Kelsey 645 runs @ 33.95.

Kelsey’s double century saw her join an elite band of players to perform that feat for the Parramatta District Cricket Club (Les Pye, Barclay Farquhar, Sid Thomas, Len Leabeater, Sam Stone, Anthony Karam, Nick Bertus, Tim Ward, and Scott Copperfield).

2017/18 Partnerships involving the Millers:

  • 350* v. Bankstown rd.1 2nd wicket – K. Miller and H. Silver-Holmes (club record).
  • 164* v. Universities [GF] 1st wicket – K. Miller and E. Noble.
  • 150 v. St. George 1st wicket – K. Miller and E. Noble.
  • 148 v. Gordon 1st wicket – K. Miller and M. Godsell.
  • 133 v. Gordon rd.9 3rd wicket – R. Miller and K. Petersen.
  • 120 v. Northern districts [SF] 1st wicket – K. Miller and E. Noble.
  • 118 v. Sydney 1st wicket – K. Miller and H. Silver-Hayes.

The incredible performances of the Miller sisters bear special mention, following on from their outstanding combined efforts in the previous season they lifted their efforts another notch in 2017/18. Kelsey Miller was phenomenal and the very thought of coming up against her must have ‘sent  shivers down the back’ of opposition bowlers, her level of scoring was been prodigious during the season 857 runs @ 95.22 (best – 237* v. Bankstown rd.1, 92 v. St. George, , 84 v. Sydney, 106 v. Gordon rd.9, 83 v. NDs [SF], 124* v. Universities [GF]) – two centuries and her second double century in consecutive seasons – added to that she snared 15 wickets @ 10.33 (best – 3/6 v. St. George, 2/29 v. NDs).

Rebecca Miller again scored heavily, producing a healthy 485 runs @ 53.89 (best – 71 v. NDs, 127 v. Gordon rd.9, 69 v. Sydney, 45 v. Universities, 54 v. NDs rd.13, 52 v. St. George). The rd.9 clash with Gordon produced a family highlight with Rebecca making 127 and Kelsey 106 scoring centuries in the same match.

The Millers Sister Act greatly assisted the Parramatta team to finally hold the Sydney Women’s Competition 2nd grade crown aloft in 2017/18.
