Vancouver, BC — A groundbreaking milestone in cricket surface technology was unveiled at the prestigious Canada Super60 cricket event held beneath the renowned undercover dome of BC Place. For the first time in history, the latest H3 Hybrid cricket wicket—a world-first drop-in system developed by Gabba Sports—was installed and used in a live competitive environment.

The innovative drop-in H3 Hybrid wicket provided international cricketers an exceptional playing surface, delivering unprecedented performance, durability, and weather resilience.

Players praised the surface for its pace and bounce, which allowed for free-flowing stroke play and enhanced the exciting dynamic of the game. The seamless integration of hybrid technology made installation quick and efficient while ensuring consistent bounce and true behavior.

Over the course of five intense days and more than 22 matches, totaling over 400 overs, the H3 Hybrid wicket demonstrated its remarkable resilience. The surface went the distance with very little wear and tear, a true testament to its durability and high-quality construction. This endurance further affirmed the surface's suitability for hosting high-stakes, multi-day cricket tournaments.

The cricket stars participating in the event expressed their admiration for the groundbreaking surface, noting its significant impact on gameplay quality and player safety. The installation’s success not only highlights Gabba Sports’ pioneering role in sports surface innovation but also marks a transformative moment in cricket history.

"We are incredibly proud to introduce the world’s first drop-in H3 Hybrid wicket at such a prestigious event," said a Gabba spokesperson. "The feedback from international players about the pace and bounce confirms that our technology truly elevates the cricketing experience. This achievement showcases our commitment to pushing the boundaries of sports surface innovation and supporting the growth of cricket worldwide, now right here in Canada."

The Vancouver installation underscores the potential for rapid, high-quality surface deployment across stadiums and sports facilities globally, facilitating the expansion and development of cricket’s reach and competitiveness.
