Veteran scorer Arun Kumar Manickavasagam steps down from his duties

Arun Kumar Manickavasagam advised the club last season that he will be stepping down as scorer as he will be travelling back to India to help organise his brother’s wedding and will also be doing some travelling there.
Arun saw an advert in the paper and applied for the position as scorer in 2015, he was interviewed by Paul O’Flaherty, Chairman, and Alex Reese, Premier Men’s Coach and began his scoring for the 2015/2016 campaign.
His love of cricket and scoring took him into further roles in scoring at domestic level and working his up to be a Test Match Scorer and a massive highlight being able to score when Tom Latham was playing.

He has scored in the 2019 Women’s World Cup, Test Matches, One Day Internationals in additional to sharing the scorebox with Peter Isle for over 9 seasons. He has managed to meet some legends of cricket.
The senior players had a shared meal that clubrooms on the Thursday before Christmas after training to farewell Arun with Carl, Matt and Shane sharing some fond memories.
